PRE WAR SAVAGE MODEL 99 RIFLE WITH MID-WESTERN CARVED STOCK CIRCA 1936. .300 Savage caliber with 24" barrel. Custom carved around factory checkering and inlaid walnut factory stock with birds-eye Maple or some light colored fruitwood with a total on five symetrical inlays that all match same wood the buttplate is made of. Original blue and case colors. Mint bore and perfect working order. Thick disc of Mother of pearl pistol grip cap held on by screw. Lever safety catch. Crisp factory stamps and unturned screws. Sling swivels. True pre war Americana flavor with relief carving tastefully done. Very pleasing to the eye. Mint bore and rifling as well.
