- Windage-adjustable rear aperture sight with course and fine aperture selections
- Elevation-adjustable front post sight
- Stock:  A2:  Improved stock used on M16A2. Longer by 5/8"
- Handguards:  Ribbed:  Ribbed round rifle handguards

- Rear Sight:     A2:  Rear sight adjustable for both windage and elevation
- Barrel Profile:   HBAR:  A barrel that in some portion is thicker than government-profile, usually underneath the handguards
- Barrel Twist:   1:7:  1 right hand twist every 7 inches (178 mm) 5.56×45mm NATO (NATO SS109 & US M855)
- Muzzle Device:   None

NOTE:  The left side of the receiver is labeled “CAL. 223”.  However, the top of the barrel (which includes the chamber) near the muzzle is labeled “C  P  5.56 NATO 1/7 HBAR”.  Thus, this rifle is chambered for 5.56 mm, but will fire .223 Rem.  This is the original configuration from the factory.

The rifle is in excellent conditions - 98+.percent.  It has been fired, but only a few times, probably less than 50 rounds.  It's been sitting in a safe for a lot of years,  not a lot, though I cannot provide a good count on the number of rounds.  The metal is practically perfect with no signs of wear. The plastic handguards, pistol grip, and stock are in similar condition, with the exception of a few mars on the right side of the butt stock.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($40) and insurance, if desired.  Insurance for the full value of the gun would be $16.60 ($4.60 for the first $300 of insurance, plus $12.00 ($1.20 for each additional $100 of insurance (rounded up) above the first $300 dollars)).  I will accept a personal check, but will hold the gun until it clears.  I will also accept USPS money order, which I do not have to hold, as it clears immediately.  I will accept other type money orders, but will hold gun until they clear.  Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall.
