Description:
Springfield model 1884 trapdoor 45-70 built in 1891 with the rare ramrod extendable bayonet.This rifle is in all original condition and still retains the cleaning tools in the buttplate.The bore is bright with sharp well defined rifling and no rust or pits.The rifle retains 80% overall finish and has not been altered.There is what appears to be an arsenal rack number 14 stamped on the left side of the butt.The number 599 is stamped right behind the tang.There is a governement inspectors cartouche on the left side of the action.This is a fine example of the 1884 in a scarce configuration.Classified as an antique and can be shipped direct.
