Description:
Protect the originality of your Pre War Winchester 70's undrilled rear receiver bridge by using this near Mint condition Bausch & Lomb set up. The rear scope mount utilizes the factory drilled receiver sight holes on the side. The front mount utilizes the factory holes in the front receiver ring. The scope secures into the mounts by way of a plunger rod and all windage and elevation adjustments are made on the 2 scope mounts. Rock solid and as slick as can be. Scope can be easily and repeatedly removed from rifle for storage or transport, or even used on other rifles with similar mounts, then remounted with no loss of zero.
Everything in this set is in near perfect condition, including all aluminum components. Mounting screws are included. The scope internals are crystal clear with a fine crosshair reticle and the variable power ring turns as smooth as silk.
Please do not confuse these vintage Rochester NY made B&L scopes, binoculars, and telescopes with more modern production! During their day, they kept up with or obliterated all competitors and to this day, remain some of the finest optics ever made.
This set up will also work for any other Pre 64 Winchester 70, as well as Remington 721, 722.
