ORIGINAL ANTIQUE MODEL 1861 ELI WHITNEY NAVY MODEL .36 cal. REVOLVER. MFG. LATE 1850s - EARLY 1860s. A VERY POPULAR CIVIL WAR REVOLVER. 7 1/2" BARREL. NUMBER ON BARREL C 730, C AND UNREADABLE NUMBER ON CYLINDER, 730 ON BOTH GRIP PANELS, LOADING LEVER 10 & 1019. METAL FINISHES HAVE TONED TO A BROWN-GRAY WITH ONLY FAINT TRACES OF CYLINDER SCENE REMAINING. LOADING LEVER DOES SHOW SOME DARKENED CASE COLORS. ACTION WORKS FINE, CRISP, IN TIME WITH GOOD CYLINDER LOCKUP. NIPPLES & CHAMBERS ARE CLEAR. A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE OVERALL, AS PICTURED. SEE FLAYDERMAN'S 5J-096.
