Description:
This Winchester was produced in 1895. The rifle's serial number is 36062. It has the half round barrel with the three leaf rear sight and standard front sight. It also has the Lyman tang sight with the screw in peep disc. The rifle has the correct early take down feature that is tight with no play. The bore is bright with no frosting or pitting. The original barrel and magazine blue is fully intact. The reciever blue would rate a 80% overall. There are some faint surface lines on both sides of the reciever. The bolt retains all of the bluing. The extractor has vivid nitre blue. The pistol grip lever and hammer show strong color cased finish. The hard rubber butt plate has the early heel tip. The buttplate toe has a very small chip. The pistol grip stock has sharp checkering. The grip cap is in fine condition showing the Winchester logo. The forend shows some light wear to the checkering. The stock and forend show some nice figuring. This is a very nice first year production deluxe rifle for the then new 30 W.C.F. This is a very nice collectable grade early deluxe rifle with nice features for the first year of the 30 W.C.F. cartridge. Loading tool and accessories sold separately.
