This Colt was produced in 1955. The pistol's serial number is 9363. It has the 6 inch target barrel. The rear sight is fully adjustable. This rear sight was also used on the early Pythons. This pistol has the correct early target wrap around grips that were also used on the early Pythons. The hammer has the wide spur that also was used on the Pythons. This Model Colt was the most expensive revolver built by them before the Python came out. This pistol was hand timed, polished and the lock work was hand done to perfection. The quality workmanship was carried over to the Python models. This Colt is as new and has not been used after being test fired. The bluing is deep and nicely polished. The grips are as new with no issues. This is a stunning brand new pistol that has been well cared for all these years! This Colt was produced in the first year of the Colt Python! When the Python came out there was very little need for two top line 357 revolvers so the Colt Three Fifty Seven was phased out. There was only less than 15,000 produced in this model. These Colts are fairly rare today. This Colt has the original box serial numbered to this pistol, The test target, the original wrapping paper, and the cleaning brush that comes with this pistol. The box is in fair condition showing much handling and storage, The label is intact with no loss. There is a extra over label added below the word Revolver. It says Wide Spur Hammer And Target Stocks. It would be very difficult to find a better condition pistol in this rare model today! This is a highly collectable and historical pistol for the Python collector as well as the Colt collector. Search for hlvfineguns on google for more details.
