<<<<SOLD>>>> A very nice early flintlock pistol, sold as a aproject or for parts..This signed lock called DAWES is incompete, but would make a good project gun, or use for parts.Gooseneck hammer and pan, frizzen, frizzen spring. present, the lock has the tunmler and sear.\, no minspring though.. This was a quality flintlock pistol as the hammer has a sliding lock behind the hammer, safety not present.The octagonal barrel is about almost 9" with a front low blade sight, and three ovel proof marks. (two) crwon over GP, , and one just a crown. London proofs? The front of the English walnut stock has been shortened to the ram-rod pipe. Very fancy pimeapple finial trigger guard..HAs the trigger also.The lock screws are engraved.. The barrel has been cleaned and there is stil some pitting more closer to the fire hole.Maybe good for a wall hanger.. or fix it up? Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters. Shipping may be higher than stated as shippers raise their prices twice year without notice!
