Serial number 124170. Per Charlie Pate, he believes this gun was shipped to the New York Arsenal in mid June 1863; an additional source believes it likely to have been shipped to the 19th New York Volunteer Cavalry. All serial numbers match throughout the gun as seen in the pictures; the serial number is also written in the channel inside the grips. The grips both show inspection cartouches correct for the period: John Taylor on the right side and John S Duston on the left. The barrel exhibits strong rifling. This is a very clean Civil War-issued revolver that has not been messed with and would make a great addition to your collection at a reasonable price. Not many today exhibit all matching numbers and correct cartouches. I will be glad to answer any questions or provide additional pictures upon request.
