Description:
***SOLD***Charlin Automatique "T-8" 16ga SxS shotgun, made at St. Etienne, France. This shotgun features the very unique Darne sliding breech action, which operates on a toggle lever, when lifted, pulls the breech backwards on a track, and extracts the shells while cocking the mechanism. The chamber length is stamped as 65mm, which comes out to 2-9/16" for the chamber measurement. The hardware has a sleek, polished blue finish and a refined profile, with smooth walnut furniture and sling swivels on the stock and barrel. The shotgun is in excellent working order with a very smooth action and a tight fit, as well as fully functional triggers and nice bores. Some signs of use can be seen in the photos, as well as some very small dents in the barrel. Some evidence of well-done repairs can be seen as well. Please refer to the photos to further assess the condition of the shotgun. This is a very nice example of a Charlin/Darne shotgun, ready for the field or your collection! 14" LOP. Full chokes.
