1st Generation Colt 38-40. Very nice engraving that was done many years ago, engraver is unknown. This Colt has nice petina and one piece Ivory grips. In my years of collecting my favoriate guns are a 38-40, 44-40. These were the real guns cowboys carried. They could by a rifle and pistol with the same caliber which made it very convienient.
