Description:
An interesting turn of the century French Garant type revolver appearing to be an 8mm lebel caliber as best as I can tell., as the left side of frame has faintly marked 8mm. Mafg. by Cycles and Arms of St. Etienne. on the top strap, in very fine writing but clear. This fine gun has about 93% original arsenal blue, and a few spots of age corrion or frost., some near the muzzle from staying too long in a leather holster. Very good black hard rubber diamond checkered grips.The action is very good, strong mainspring, very good SA , and DA. he hammer is about hidden almost making this revolver a hide-away hammerles. The size of the revolver is about the size of a S&W 38 D.A. 3rd thru 5th model revolver. These guns were used by the French resistance in WWII. The cylinder swings to thw right to load and unload with a cyinder rod extractor. Bore on the 2 7/8" long barrel is excellent , shiny, and strong rifling.Check my inventory of rare grips, unusual gun parts, barrels and holsters.
