American Revolutionary War fowler. American Revolutionary War fowler with “US” surcharges on barrel at the breech, top barrel flat. This well documented Colonial fowler comes with extensive description and photos. This fowler appeared in the November 1996 issue of The Gun Report article entitled, “Some Thoughts About Dutch and German Influences on American Colonial Firearms.” This fowler has been displayed since 1993 in the exhibit at the Thomas Clarke House in Princeton Battlefield State Park entitled, “Arms of the Revolution”. This American fowler is from the W.T. Ahearn Collection. Bill Ahearn is the author of a fine and comprehensive book, Muskets of the Revolution. This is a well-documented American made Revolutionary War fowler musket!
