Description:
1937 Colt New Service Target chambered in .45lc with an extremely rare 6'' barrel. Any New Servce Target is already a low production gun. With only 3 to 5% of these manufactured with the 6'' as opposed to the standard 7 1/2'' barrel you will seldom see one come up for sale. A Colt Archive letter is included to authenticate it. The finish is all original and it still retains a deep dark shine throughout. There is some light wear at the tip of the muzzle. There is also some scattered pinprick freckling. Overall the finish rates about 95%. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. It only shows very light wear and overall it rates a 9 out of 10. The action is crisp and the lock up is tight. The grips remain in excellent condition with sharp checkering throughout. Overall a nice example of an almost impossible to find New Service Target.
