Pristine condition Winchester 70 .257 Roberts transition rifle! Made for only a few short years (1946-48) following WWII, good transition rifles are TOUGH to find, and particularly so in scarce .257 Roberts caliber! This one is absolutely stunning. 99% original blue. 99-100% Varnish as lightly restored. Looks New! S/N 66*** with matching scribed bolt made in 1947. This rifle features the unique combination of cloverleaf tang and "clamshell" or "rabbit's foot" safety lever seen only during this brief production era. It wears a very nice piece of walnut with pleasing color and nice grain. 24" Barrel. All correct and original components. Bore and mechanics are like new. A supreme rifle in one of the greatest performing, low recoiling calibers ever.
