When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done.  The Model 21 is an American icon with a well-deserved reputation.  A strikingly handsome gun made with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure.  IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN.  Most double gun enthusiasts are keenly aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of mechanical genius that was under the micro-management of John Olin himself.  With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm.  This fine M21 Standard Grade, sn24096 built in 1952, is a great example of a vintage gun with the very best of modern shooting features.  With perfect mirror bores, barrels tight as new on the hinge pin and breech face with the top lever way right of center, crisp single selective trigger, strong well-timed ejectors, great shooting dimensions, and in the same configuration as when it left the factory 68 years ago (except the addition of a Winchester pad), she is mechanically sound and pretty to look as well.  The 30” M/F barrels retain 99% factory blue, the receiver retains 98% blue, the trigger guard 92% factory blue, and the nicely figured walnut stocks have perfect checkering with no cracks and superb wood-to-metal fit.  If you enjoy chasing tough upland birds, waterfowl, turkey, or just shooting a round of sporting clays, this is a great vintage Winchester for your pursuits.  With RST spreader loads the gun will pattern as if she were choked IC/M thus increasing the usefulness on the clays course or upland prairies.  The mechanics and screws are perfect, all ready for the highest volume, heaviest loads you would ever want to feed into a shotgun.  There are many 12ga. Model 21 guns to choose from, but how do you know which one to buy???  I suggest that you only buy a valuable investment quality shotgun if you know for sure what you are getting.  You need details to make an informed choice…details that most other sellers simply do not provide like bore diameter, barrel wall thicknesses, stock dimensions, chokes and other specifics that make a big difference in value.  And how about photos that will really let you see the gun and its condition before you spend your hard-earned money?  We at Vintage Firearms, Inc. work hard to provide you the power of knowledge and the opportunity to buy solid, investment quality firearms with no excuses or surprises.  We even answer our phone all day long, 6 days a week.  We want your business!   Thanks for looking!
