Description:
Not your new Quail gun! This is a classic Waterfowling SxS Shotgun..the Stoeger Zephyr #6HG 10 gauge SxS. Built with 32" solid rib barrels with front and mid bead; factory chambered for 3 1/2" shells and proofed accoringly. The bores are typical .770" with .036" full choke in the right tube and .042" full(er) choke in the left tube with minimum wall thicknesses of .075"!! The action is a true sidelock with double triggers, extractors, automatic safety, cocking indicators and double underlug locks with hidden third fastener. The stock has a 14 1/4 LOP over an old vented 1" pad that needs to be replaced (13 1/4" LOP from front trigger to end of wood); 1 1/2" drop at comb and 2 1/2" drop at the heel. Matching beavertail forearm with anson release. Note there is an old, but solid repair in the stock on the bottom right side by the receiver and a non-interfering small crack on the forearm..see photos. The barrel blue is good to very good, the frame case color finish is nearly gone and the screw heads are far from crisp! Mechanically this 11 lb. 7 oz. beast is solid and ready for the next Goose hunt or if you just need an anchor for your large boat!
