A great old whiskey flask made of pewter with a silver wash finish. It has a motto on it that relays the owner sentiment when sharing a drink. The flask shows the letter (A) with an engraving of a bird, a (Swallow) and the words (BUT NOT A), (with an engraving of an old fashioned clap on ice skate). The meaning is: "a swallow but not a skate", but what is the meaning of that???? The fun part of this is when you have your fellow drinkers try to figure out what the meaning is. Look carefully at the pictures to see clues to the answer. "A SWALLOW BUT NOT A SKATE" ???? If you Google (riverjunction) then search (5572) you will find the answer. Flasks like these are rare and very collectable not to mention functional. This flask does not leak and has the original lid.
