Description:
This is an absolutely original model 07 Winchester 351 caliber self loading Police and Prison rifle from 1949. The condition of this piece is as stone mint as you could ever hope to find, showing only a few very minor handling marks to the stocks, and virtually no imperfections of any sort to the metal surfaces. This rifle shows very little wear, and may actually be factory test fired only. Comes with one 5 round mag that shows no blue loss from being loaded, or even having a shell slide over it. Winchester made a10 round mag as well, that are available online. The sight package is all corrrect for this version, the bore is perfect, all script is crisp and clear, and the checkered metal butt plate is original and correct. The stocks are heavier on the P&P version, and Winchester changed the design of the charging rod, to a finger hook, as opposed to the round pad of the earlier guns. This created a more positive grip when loading the initial round in the chamber. The change to a finger hook occured during the last ten or so years of production. These rifles were built from 1907-1957. This gun takes down and reassembles as it should. No dissapointments here, as this 99% rifle is one of the best 07's on the planet. This gun will definitely stand out in any Winchester self loader collection.
