Here is a very nice Merwin Hulbert that says "Caliber Winchester 1873" (.44-40). Bore is pictured and looks pretty good. I've shot this gun (black powder only) and it is accurate and hits to the point of aim. Everything works as it should. The barrel is 7". The lanyard ring is still present and the grips are in great shape. Serial # is 145xx. Barrel address is very clear with M&H address in New York and patent dates.The only issue is a ever so small bulge in the barrel that is nearly impossible to detect. Look at the pictures; I know where it is and I can't see it. In any event the price reflects that and what may be an old repair on the locking lug. No ffl or C&R required, just proof of age. If you are looking for a solid big Merwin single action that won't break the bank this is it. $50 shipping and insurance via priority mail to your door unless local law prohibits.
There is no way to edit the title of this listing but I assume everyone will know this is not a Remington 1875 revolver. :)
