The Walther designed P38 9mm pistol was adopt by German military in 1938. There were several manufactures of the P38. The manufacturer Mauser was given the manufacturer’s code of byf. This byf 43 pistol has all the proper acceptance and inspection stamps. The serial numbers match. The magazine has a Walther plant “eagle 359” inspection stamp. This P38 is not import stamped. It would be a fine addition to any collection.
