Description:
This Ruger SR-556 carbine is a gas piston operated AR platform rifle chambered in 5.56 Nato. The rifle has a chrome lined 16” cold hammer forged barrel with a mid-length gas system and a four position gas block which feeds a chrome plated bolt and carrier. It is equipped with Ruger’s own slim handguard to which rail sections can be attached as needed. The original stock and grip have been replaced with a Magpul OD Green CTR stock and MOE+ grip. The factory muzzle device has been swapped with a Griffin Armament two chamber brake and the charging handle is a Slidelock-AR-15 ambidextrous model. In addition the trigger has been replaced with a Timney Targa 2-stage long unit which has a 2 pound long first stage and a two pound second stage break.
