Description:
Nice Engraved Colt Style Single Action Army Revolver - in good condition - Has matching Serial Numbers of 1754 on Frame, Trigger Guard, & Back Strap - No serial number found on the cylinder - Loading Gate has #508 - Colt Serial Number Lookup reflects a 1874 Circa. Don't believe this revolver to be a genuine Colt manufactured Revolver -  Could be a Brevete type revolver - Frame does have a 3 line colt patent on it, and the barrel has the Colt markings on it as well, however no caliber marking on the barrel - Revolver with nice early embellishment, engraving & 2 toned in blue and gold washed. Revolver shows evidence of use after the embellishment, as the wear and current condition of revolver is depicted in the attached photo array - The barrel end, ejection tube end, cylinder front end, all show evidence that this revolver was carried in a holster after embellishment. Cylinder also depicts a turn line - This is a very nice early collectible engraved .45LC revolver - The barrel end shows slight pitting as well as depicted in the photo array. The hard wood grips appear to be original, and also age consistent with the revolver -  Revolver age could be consistent with the serial number sequence, however this revolver is being sold as is, and seller does not believe it to be a genuine Colt Manufacture, with age of manufacture unknown. Therefore revolver will be required to be transferred to a FFL, and for sure will fall under curio/Relic guideline. I had revolver reviewed by others whom have much more expertise with Colt SAA's, and they have also assumed that it appears to be a very good clone. Regardless, Item is priced accordingly, well below that of a market valued Colt First Generation, second year production SAA.
