Colt WWI U.S. 1911, Cal. 45acp. Ser. 346396.
A beautiful example of an an Augusta Arsenal refinnish for WWII. The gun appears to have been immaculate before the Parkerizing. All the parts including the barrel are original 1911 parts with the exception of the grips. They were updated from wood to the WWII brown plastic which are flawless, as are the grip screws. The arsenal finish remaining is about 99.5%. There are no pits,scratches or dings anywhere.
The frame is stamped Upturned/SC and AA. The grip straps have not started to gray. The barrel is original WWI with the proper HP stamp. The bore is magnificent. Mirror bright and razor sharp. Not a trace of frost anywhere. The gun comes with new correct WWI two tone Colt magazine.
