Remington Rand, 1911-A1 Cal. .45 acp, Ser. 19662XX.
A 100% correct gun with the original factory finish. This Rem Rand retains about 96-97% of the factory finish. A mild surface rib mark surface rub mark on the right side of the slide from a holster accounts for almost all of the finish loss. The rest has only is some very slight sharp edge silvering and the always present takedown lever scratch.
The rest of the gun is pristine. There are no pits, scratches or flakes anywhere. The grip straps show no sign of graying.
All parts match and are proper for the gun.
The left side has the Crossed Cannons ordinance stamp. The top of the slide is “P” stamped. The left side is stamped FJA for the inspector and the correct “P” proof.
The Brown plastic grip panels are the correct small ring type and show no wear or imperfections. The screw heads are unmarred. The interior, slide rails, feed ramp and bolt face have seen very little use.
The bore is pristine, sunshine bright, razor-sharp and without a hint of gray. The barrel is indeed a proper Hi-Standard. The magazine, like the rest of the gun, shows very little use and is correct with an “L” stamped toe.
The gun has one minor flaw, a mild holster surface rub mark, so it priced well below collector value. I am sure It will be a lovely addition to any WW II collection really be great fun at the range. abd it comes with our "Purchase Satisfaction Guarantee"......Shipped..$1950.
