Description:
24 inch full octagon barrel chambered in 38 WCF caliber with a full length mag tube. Crescent butt plate. Very bright shiny bore. Crisp action. The top of the barrel and receiver have a Winchester factory oval proof indicating that the rifle was returned to the factory to be refurbished. Most of this finish remains on the barrel, mag tube and forend cap. Receiver blue is good on the right side with the left side and top being a gray/brown patina mixed with blue. Sights include a Lyman tang and a Lyman front with the factory sporting rear. Lightly freshened wood fits and looks good with no cracks or splits. Rifle was made in 1888.
