Description:
Serial #17295, .45 Colt, 6" barrel with a very good bore that has some minor freckling within the grooves. This is a handsome revolver that retains 85-90% of the original, lustrous blue finish. There is mild silvering with fading along the raised edges and projections, as well as some thin freckling along the sides of the barrel, and some scratches on the right rear of the frame. The topstrap has standard Webley “'WG' ARMY MODEL" marking with the Webley & Scott “winged bullet" on the lower left side of the frame. The hammer, trigger, and cylinder retention stirrup have some thin, plum-brown areas of freckling on the bright metal while the thumb lever has about 25% of the original blue remaining. The checkered, walnut grips are in about good condition with scattered handling marks, some flattening of the points, and chips missing from the toes and top rear of both panels. The lock-up is still tight and the action is fully functional. This is a very nice .455 Webley with lots of original blue remaining, and is in fine condition overall. FFL or C&R
