Hammerguns - This elegant lady has seen a few years but she is still tight on face and nitro proofed. The checkering has filled in but by the skilled hand could easily be restored. Any Holland, Purdey, or Boss would be proud to have the wood that is on this gun. Beautiful. I would like to see someone give this gal a face lift with a new oil finish as it would make this wood come alive.
Samuel Smallwood was a gunmaker that was in business quite along time. He was in Shrewsbury between 1878 and 1940. Around 1900 his son joined the business and became S.
