J.H. Hall Harpers Ferry Breech Loader Rifle - .52 Cal - Circa 1832 in Fine Condition - Model M1819 Second Model
The rifle has the unique Hall breechblock mechanism that pivots upward for loading and distinctive trigger guard with grip extension. The barrel, barrel bands, receiver, trigger guard, and buttplate have a brown lacquer finish. The breechblock and lock are casehardened, and the iron button head ramrod is bright - Black walnut stock - The fixed blade and notch sights are offset to the left because of the position of the action - Dated 1832 - Barrel length is 33 inches with an overall length of 53 inches. Overall condition is fine. This is a second model. Bore is excellent. Metal is a brown purple. Has the original ram rod, and is a 3 band. This is an exceptional complete rifle in fine condition, being scarce to find these circa 1832 rifles in this condition.
