Hammerguns - This fine double has an extremely rare feature of chopperlump Damascus barrels. As far as we know only one man in the English gun trade ever managed to produce these. His name was Henry Parsons and he would leave his mark on all his barrels besides the other proof marks. The mark is a forging hammer. When I saw this mark I immediately took a closer look at the barrels and sure enough there was the very thin line separating the lumps. In my world it is the little things that can make my day and this made mine. It is just the coolest thing ever! In thirty years with vintage English guns I have only seen this once before.
This Turner has good wall thickness and very modern stock dimensions. The bores are beautiful, bright and shiny.
