A fine specimen of one of the rarer .45 Colt versions of the Mountain Gun. This is classic Smith & Wesson at its finest. The N Frame big bore revolver in a handy, easy to carry and easy to shoot package. 4" tapered, half lug barrel balances well in hand and is very accurate. Case hardened trigger and hammer, stainless everywhere else. Bore and cylinder chambers are all bright and shiney, hand ejector is smooth, rifling is crisp. Trigger breaks clean and the gun is very accurate.
I purchased this revolver several years ago as bear and lion medicine for trips out west. It has been carried a lot and shot only a little. Comes wearing aftermarket Pachmayr laminate grips and also includes the factory original Hogue rubber grips with finger grooves.
