For sale is a pair of all steel Vintage 1" Scope Rings with a very unusual 5/8" dovetal bases.  These are very well constructed and sturdy.  If you have a rifle with the right size dovetail bases there are a very rare find. The rings have a very nice slight taper on the sides--see Picture # 2 to see this.

In pictures # 3 and # 4 they are the rings on the left side.  They have large thumbwheels.  The thumbsheels are not quite as large as the older Weaver Detachable Rings.

This is the only set of rings with a 5/8" slot for a dovetail that I have seen.  I'm sure they are vintage, and I would venture to say that they made sometime in the late 1940's when Bill Weaver was featuring his 1" scope as well as the Norman Ford Company, both of which were in Texas.  They are of high quality and very well made.  Perfect for a late 40's rifle, be it commercial or custom.

Note: the smaller rings in some of the pictures have been sold.

The rings are unmarked, so I can't say who made them.  When you tighten the Thumbwheels, a little rectangular bar pushes into the insdie slot in the dovetail blank.

Certainly priced right if you have a use for them.

Contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you.
