SOLD Selling this unfired, beautiful AYA model 53 sidelock with gorgeous wood at a deeply discounted price for this lively 12 ga. The 53 is one of only two AYA models featuring Purdey triple-bite actions plus sideclips and are considered super-strong. Stunning Old Silver H&H design sidelocks with cocking indicaters plus gold plated internal lock parts and hand detachable. Engraving is full coverage in the style of Holland. Fine line checkering, auto ejectors and safety with chopper lump barrels.This configeration offered has modeled the Winchester 21 double barrel with single selective trigger, pistol grip, 26" barrels, ventilated rib and beavertail forearm. This combination of features was a favorite of Jack O'Connor's AYA doubles in the 60"s and 70"s for upland bird shooting. Colonel Charles Askins proclaimed the AYA #53 probably the best buy in a side-by-side anywhere! Chamber 2 3/4 with barrels choked modified and improved modified. Great pheasant and competition gun. Wood is hand rubbed oil finish with no dents or scratching. Stock is 14 3/4" over the pad, 1 1/2 DAC and 2 3/8 DAH with small cast off. Fore-end has Anson release.The model 53 is surpassed in the AYA family in quality and price only by the models No.1, 56 and Imperial. The 53 is significantly above the popular No.2 and fits right below the No.1. The model 53 carries a MSR $9920., without pricing in all the extra features of this gun.
