Early .38 caliber, 3.5" barrel, S/N 59185 (ca. 1877 first year production). All numbers matching. Nickel finish with Colt hard rubber grips. Top of barrel marked with two-line Colt Hartford address, left side of barrel marked with crisp etched caliber. 80% oforiginal nickel plating remaining with most wair found on cylinder and barrel. Some moderate wear to grips including some scratching. Action is like new. Bore is moderately dark with strong rifling. A realy nice example of LIghtning in desirable firsat year range.
