24" full octagon barrel with full magazine, dovetailed blade front sight and Rocky Mountain rear sight. Highly figured, point-pattern checkered American black walnut stocks with contrasting-walnut-inlaid S-curve pistol grip, beaded cheekpiece, and crescent steel trapdoor buttplate. Single-set trigger. Thumbprint dust-cover. Casehardened action, checkered hammer, lever and buttplate. Fire blued loading gate. Folding Lyman tang peep sight. Originally built 1878. New condition from Turnbull. With presentation inscription on left sideplate: Presented to R L Peters by Doug Turnbull August 2006. Antique.
