*Note the ‘’A’’ in the serial number suffix! Also judging by the barrels Mint bore and ‘’as new’’ throat gaging of only a 2 1/2 it appears to have had a new ‘’SA 8-46’’ barrel installed right after WWII! This is an outstanding WWII (stripped) Receiver and again appears to have its original correct ‘’SA 8-46’’ marked/dated Barrel! This set remains exactly as sold through the CMP program on February 9, 2001. Not only does it show to be as ‘’Arsenal Brand New’’ with its magnificent finish rating easily at 99%+ of its arsenal finish! The bore visually rates Mint and the throat gauges at only a 2 ½ (New) on an original Arsenal gauge. Not only is the receiver one with the more scarce ‘’A’’ serial number suffix BUT ALSO note the bore condition! These simply do not get any better that is for sure! ! A great set!
