Description:
This is an outstanding WWII (stripped) Receiver and Barrel set as sold through the CMP program on July 2, 2001. Not only does it appear to be an original matching set (SN and barrel date) but also the barrel does not have a post war chromed gas port area. The finish other than honest cycling wear and areas where the original parts would have rubbed rates at appx 95% on the pair. The bore visually rates VG+ or better and the throat gauges about a 7 on an original Arsenal gauge. A great candidate for a nice WWII/1944 M1 restoration!
