Description:
Winchester model 1890 manufactured in 1891. Serial # 9826. Solid frame first model. Condition is very good but has some wear from use. Has correct broken D barrel address for first year models. All script is crisp and legible. Wood has original finish and in excellent condition. Only flaw is that initials BP were carved into the left side of the stock.These initials have been there a very long time. Condition of the metal is good but has faded to a patina. Case hardened colors are visible along the trigger guard. Barrel does show a mixture of original bluing and patina. Comes with a factory letter from the Cody Firearms Museum.
