The Colt Woodsman is really one of the truly iconic American-made semi-automatic .22 pistols. They are very well-known by shooters and collectors alike for their graceful lines, excellent fit and finish, excellent reliability, and superb accuracy. This is a very clean and all-original Colt Woodsman Sport Model .22 caliber pistol made in 1950. It is a 2nd Series or 2nd Model gun with the sought-after frame mounted push-button magazine release rather than the heel release of the 1st and 3rd model guns. This Woodsman Sport Model features a gloss-blue factory finish, a 4.5" inch barrel, a ramped front sight, an adjustable rear target-style sight, a ten round factory magazine, and factory checkered composite grips with a beautiful red/brown/black swirl in them. The factory gloss blue finish on this pistol is in excellent condition overall. It shows only some minor handling marks and a touch of high-edge wear. Both the front and rear grip straps are excellent. The bore in this Colt is bright and clean with no pitting, erosion, or imperfections visible. The rifling still looks like-new with sharp lands and grooves. The factory grips on this gun are like-new with no visible wear, cracks, chips, or repairs. Both grips are beautiful in color and tight to the gun with no wiggle. All of the controls on this Colt are in perfect working order and the action is smooth and slick. We have no doubt that this Woodsman Sport Model will function today just as well as it did the day it left Colt's factory 70 years ago. This Colt comes with the original owner's manual, some of the shipping paper, and a partial original box that is in rough shape. If you have been looking for an investment-worthy 2nd model Colt Woodsman Sport, this 1950-production gun would be an excellent choice. With proper care it could be enjoyed at the range without harming it's value and still be a great long-term investment.
