Description:
S&W Safety Hammerless 4th Model in .38 S&W caliber. SN #135384. Mfg. in 1900. Nickel Finish. 4" barrel with a good bore for it's age, some pitting with clear strong rifling. The black S&W grips have a couple of chips on the left side grip but are otherwise in good condition. The Nickel finish is in excellent condition. The star after the serial number denotes factory re-finished. The 8.49 under left grip panel denotes August 1949 as re-finish date. 5 shot cylinder. Top-Break design. Very Rare to find one this nice, and Re-Finished by Smith & Wesson.
