Arrieta y CIA is one of the finest of the Spanish made shotguns produced in the true Basque traditions. Michael McIntosh praises the Arrieta in his book "Best Guns" and in fact carried his Arrieta afield as much as any other gun he owned. The Basque makers were famous for making quality "copies" of other guns, and this Arrieta is a Holland & Holland sidelock action produced to perfection. With perfectly struck chopper lump barrels; removable striker discs; articulated front trigger; stocked to the fences; beaded fences; cocking indicators; hand cut, deep chiseled fine English Scroll engraving with game scenes; hand-detachable sidelocks; and case colored action…you have ALL THE BEST GUN FEATURES AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE! This gun was made in 2001 and is still in new condition with 99% factory finishes remaining. It was made in a ROUND BODY CONFIGURATION, which is pleasure to carry in the field and an extra cost option. Weighing just 6lbs. 2oz. and balanced perfectly on the hinge pin with the long 29” IC/M barrels and 14 ½” LOP stock, she handles like the BEST GUN that she is. The gun has seen little use and is ready for your sporting clays and upland needs. Many in the modern double gun world have considered the Arrieta as the finest made Spanish sidelock at the mid-range price. These guns were selling for over $13K at one time. This gun can be had at a fraction of that price. Arrieta finally went out of business a few years ago and they have become hard to find, especially in the upper-end models like the 871.
