Description:
Here is a very cool pistol that is in excellent shape! This is a Husqvarna Swedish made (Lathi) M40 pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. 4.5 inch barrel. This pistol has a "D" prefix serial number which denotes it as being part of an order of 10,000 pistols for the Danish police forces. The order was made in 1946 and the pistols were delivered in 1947 so that dates this pistol to sometime within those 2 years. Also comes with what appears to be the original Danish canvas holster that has three compartments; one for a spare mag, one for the combo tool, and one for a cleaning rod. These holsters were made by the firm Kitt-Catt. This kit is missing the cleaning rod but does come with the combo tool and 2 magazines. One of the magazines is original to this pistol and is stamped with the last three digits of the serial number but the other magazine does not match. Overall this pistol is in excellent condition especially considering it's age. Works excellent and has a minty bore with deep crisp rifling. The finish appears to be the original military finish. Has one small and very faint spot of pitting on the right side of the frame just below and behind the ejection port and one other very small spot at the front of the frame on the left side. Also has some faint scratches. But overall for being made over 70 years ago this pistol looks gorgeous!
