Here we have a rare and unusual Colt 1911 Legacy Edition Rattlesnake pistol, one of only 1000 produced and presented by America Historical Foundation.. The gun is unique with Real Western Diamondback rattlesnake grips. The action is all stainless steel as is the highly polished slide. It has a five inch barrel with fixed front and rear sights. On both sides of the slide in 24K gold is "Colt Legacy edition Rattlesnake" on a banner wrapped by a rattlesnake. Both grips are made of actual rattlesnake and have blue domed Legacy Edition medallions. A second set of factory grips is also included in the . On the rear sides of the slide is 1 of 1000 in a shield with the Colt logo above. The hammer and the barrel bushing and grip screws are all gold plated as well. Included with this is the unfired pistol, owner's manual, a lock, a blue Colt case, and a very nice glass and wood display case with a gold on black id plaque. Also there is a certificate of authenticity, marketing pieces and original reservation confirmation letter. Original black Colt grips are also included.This is an opportunity to add a rare and beautiful firearm.
