Description:
This .44-40 Colt Model 1878 Revolver was made in 1891 and has a 7-1/2” blued tapered round barrel with a fixed blade front sight and a notch in the frame for the rear sight. The bore is good. The left side of the barrel reads, “Colt Frontier Six Shooter”. Top of the barrel reads, “Colt’s PT. F.A. Mfg Co. Hartford CT U.S.A. The Mother of Pearl grips are in very good condition. There is some bluing wear at the muzzle end of the barrel and on the ejector rod housing. The base pin screw is new production and is in the white. Everything on this revolver works and functions as it should. This gun comes with an original vintage Model 1878 leather holster. The weight is 2 lbs. 7 oz. Our stock number is #C35.
