Description:
H&R buffalo classic 32” round barrel with Williams rear peep sight and Lyman 17a front globe sight with track of the wolf tang vernier sight added to stock and hammer extension. ( had a Malcolm style scope mounted) . Vernier not inletted because I’m not good with wood but I got it just about right and works very well out to 500 yards which is longest I shot.
This was my first 45-70 and it got me hooked so I’ve since gotten into the 1874 sharps and no longer use this one. Probably been 4 or or five years since it’s been shot and it’s time to go. It served me well and started me on path to BPCR shooting. Bore is clean, trigger has been smoothed( breaks about 4 1/2 lbs). There’s a few knicks and scratches , worst on forearm, other than that it’s in great shape.
I believe H&R no longer produces this model, not sure.
