Description:
W&C. Scott 16 bore Hammergun.
Known as the "Featherweight" Model.  (Five and one quarter pounds!)
Very good condition showing normal use for a 120 year old gun.
Nicely figured English walnut stock.
95 % coverage fine  scroll engraving
Side Clips (seldom seen on hammer guns.)
Hidden third fastener.
Bright Shiny Bores.
Gun locks-up tightly. Very slight vertical movement with forend removed.
75 to 85% Damascus finish & pattern.
Case colors faded.
Checkering is worn from normal use.
Overall this gun shows normal wear for its age, it was used for its intended purpose but was obviously well cared for.
This gun is very rare because of its petite size, it would be a great upland gun for anything from Woodcock to Pheasant.
