1954 SMITH & WESSON PRE MODEL 27 H.E. (HAND EJECTOR) .357 MAGNUM BLUE 6" 5-SCREW REVOLVER. Serial number "S129XXX" and all matching including cylinder but with replaced smooth grips. 98% of the original factory brilliant blue with balance on cylinder. Original case colors on trigger and hammer still. Five screw N frame (they deleted the fifth screw one year later). Finely checkered top strap and rib. All markings crisp. Mint bore, rifling and chambers. Functions perfectly as it should from this period. After 1957 it was referred to as the Model 27.
