Description: Serial #736065, .38 S&W (.380/200), 6" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This nice revolver has matching numbers on the frame, cylinder, yoke, extractor, and barrel with the metal retaining 95-97% of the original blue finish that mingles with silvering along some of the high edges, and also some minor plum-brown freckling as well. There is a noticeable turn-ring on the cylinder and the trigger and hammer have about 80-85% of the original bright color case-hardening remaining with pewter gray fading on the balance. The revolver has a deeply struck “C (Broad Arrow)" Canadian property stamp on the left side of the frame at the knuckle just behind the hammer, as well as numerous post-war Birmingham commercial proofmarks, and a large “.38/.380" caliber surcharge on the right side of the barrel breech. The correct, checkered walnut medallion grips are not numbered on the interior, and have light-moderate wear and handling marks on either side. The lock-up is still tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a super WW2 Canadian .38 hand ejector, left in Britain after the war and resold on the civilian market, and is in about excellent condition overall.
