Description:
M1938 - 2nd Model Kriegsmarine Dolch für Offiziere by WKC (Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie.) of Solingen. A very desirable configuration of Second Model Kriegsmarine Daggers. It features a beautiful Lightning Bolt scabbard, orange Trylon grip and Silver Bullion Navy knot! The etching the blade is excellent and provides a beautiful accent to the bright Nickel blade The stamped knights head “WKC” maker mark is also beautifully executed. The fit is perfect. The release button functions perfectly. The blade 95% with some flecking in the Nickel Plate, shows some minor age. The original leather buffer pad remains intact. The dent-free brass scabbard is without damage; the tip is perfect, hand enhancing on the scabbard loops, some noticeable wear on the seriations on the lower loop. It retains both of its original side throat screws. The cross guard, pommel and 1st pattern eagle all retain most of their original gold gilding. The rarer orange trylon grip looks awesome. No hits, chips or cracks! It has the correct double twisted wire wrap, that remains nice and tight. Tight and a correctly tied Navy port epée that is great condition overall with two spots of wear shown in photos.
