Scarce 1958 vintage Remington Model 725 ADL chambered in 30-06 Springfield. The Model 725 was produced from 1958 to 1961 with only 16,635 manufactured in all calibers. The 725 was a deluxe version of the models 721 and 722. Featuring a Enfield type rotating safety, 4 shot mag, 22" barrel, open sights, and checkered monte carlo stock. The 725 was a finely made gun, and many Remington collectors consider it the finest sporting rifle that Big Green ever made. The Model 700 was introduced in 1962 and the more expensive to produce 725 was dropped from Remington's line. This rifle remains in excellent original condition, and is unmolested. The original blue rates at approximately 98% with only some very minor thinning on the safety lever. The stock is also in beautiful condition with sharp checkering, the original swivels and a West German made Brownells Latigo sling. The rifle wears a period 26MM Redfield 4X Bear Cub scope mounted in Redfield base and rings. The scope is clear with fine crosshairs. A beautiful example of its type.
